DZO Viet Eatery is an authentic Vietnamese street food restaurant in the heart of Toronto, and across from the Art Gallery of Ontario. The brand identity was inspired by the busy streets of Vietnam. The typography mimics the busy roads, and the diamond-shape echos the classic Vietnamese lantern. Colours such as the teal blue and yellow remind us of the French colonial influence in the food recipes present to this day. As part of the brand, I was involved in the exterior and interior design and strategy. In collaboration with Studio CK, my concepts were implemented. From the concrete exterior and interior, coloured chairs, neon lights throughout the restaurant. Diamond-shaped photography present on the main floor and second. The overall concept was to bring the street vibe of Vietnam to the inside of the 3,000 square foot restaurant.
